Michael Forest

Michael Forest is a reminder that great voices outlast almost everything else. Born in 1929 in Harvey, North Dakota, he built a career spanning stage, screen, animation, and even flying, and still many fans first met him as Apollo on Star Trek. What fascinates me is the bridge he forms between mid-century American acting and the dubbing booths of modern animation; the same instrument served both worlds. A near-century of creative work commands real respect. I think of performers like him as quiet custodians of craft, carrying technique forward long after their contemporaries have faded.
