Natalie Morales

Natalie Morales is one of those actors who's been quietly excellent across a string of shows you probably watched and loved — The Middleman gave her an early cult following, Trophy Wife showed real comic timing, and The Grinder let her hold her own in a sharp ensemble comedy, which is no small feat. Born in Miami with that effortless charisma, she has a knack for slipping into ensemble casts and somehow becoming the person you're most excited to see on screen. What I really respect, though, is that she stepped into directing too — not as a vanity project but with genuine craft. Her landing on Grey's Anatomy as a series regular feels like the mainstream finally catching up to what indie TV fans already knew: she's the real deal.
