Oded Fehr

Oded Fehr has built the kind of career I deeply respect: not the lead, but the actor who sharpens every frame he's in. The Tel Aviv-born performer, all 187 centimeters of brooding charisma, etched himself into memory as Ardeth Bay in The Mummy and Carlos in the Resident Evil films. For a Middle Eastern actor to carve out durable, dignified space in Hollywood took real persistence. I'm drawn to his particular brand of menace tempered by elegance. He's proof that a great supporting player can outlast and outshine many a forgettable star, and I'll always root for him.
