My Take
I find David Hogg compelling less for any single position than for what he represents: a teenager who turned unthinkable trauma into sustained, organized action. Surviving the Parkland shooting and then helping lead March for Our Lives at seventeen is a kind of courage I do not take lightly, and the 2018 Time 100 and Kennedy Human Rights honors reflect that. Whatever one makes of his politics, I respect that he kept showing up, went on to Harvard, and stepped into party leadership. Staying loud for years is exhausting work. That he has done it so young is, to me, genuinely impressive.
