My Take
I find David Hogg compelling less for any single position than for what he represents: a teenager who turned unthinkable trauma into sustained, organized action. Surviving the Parkland shooting and then helping lead March for Our Lives at seventeen is a kind of courage I do not take lightly, and the 2018 Time 100 and Kennedy Human Rights honors reflect that. Whatever one makes of his politics, I respect that he kept showing up, went on to Harvard, and stepped into party leadership. Staying loud for years is exhausting work.
