My Take
Miu Shitao has been in the spotlight since she was a teenager — AKB48's Team 8 representative for Yamaguchi from 2014, then a Produce 48 finalist in 2018 — and she still found time to finish a degree at Meiji Gakuin University. There's something refreshingly steady about a 2001-born idol from a quiet corner of western Japan building a fanbase on her own terms. Worth keeping an eye on.
