Wang Chuqin

I genuinely find Wang Chuqin one of the most exciting athletes in any sport right now — the guy was born in 2000 and is already sitting at world No. 1 in men's singles table tennis, which is almost absurd when you think about what that ranking means in a country like China. Winning Olympic gold in both the mixed doubles with Sun Yingsha and the men's team event at Paris 2024 alongside legends like Ma Long and Fan Zhendong? At 24 years old? His style is relentlessly aggressive and his reflexes look almost unfair on video. He's not just the next generation of Chinese table tennis — at this pace, he might end up defining it.
