Zhao Jinmai

Zhao Jinmai is one of those performers who makes you forget how young she actually is. Born in 2002 in Shenyang, she was already turning heads as a child actress in the Balala the Fairies franchise, and then she leveled up fast — her role in The Wandering Earth put her in front of a massive global audience while she was still a teenager. What I find genuinely impressive is her range: she can anchor a sweeping sci-fi blockbuster and then pivot to the slow-burn emotional intimacy of a youth drama like A Little Thing Called First Love or the time-loop thriller Reset without missing a beat. Forbes China's "30 Under 30" nod in 2019 felt well-earned, not hype. She's still barely in her twenties and already has a filmography that most actors spend a decade building. I'm watching this one closely.
