My Take
Cocona Sakuragi is one of those performers who makes you do a double-take — she joined Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku at fifteen, started out as the quiet new kid in a group with serious fans and serious history, and somehow just... fit. Born in Ibaraki in 2005, she's young enough that her whole career arc is still unfolding in real time, which makes it kind of thrilling to watch. The jazz dance background shows — there's a physical confidence to how she carries herself that not everyone in idol groups has. Her first photobook dropped in early 2024 and landed well, which tells me she's building something beyond the group frame. I'm rooting for wherever she takes this next.
